Listinn inniheldur fjölmargar bækur sem fjalla um málefni Ísraels og Palestínu af fræðimönnum, blaðamönnum o.fl. sem hafa rannsakað og þekkja mjög vel uppruna og eðli átakanna fyrir botni Miðjarðarhafs. Bækurnar varpa m.a. skýru ljósi á þessa löngu sögu evrópskrar landráns-nýlendustefnu í Palestínu sem hefur notið, og nýtur enn, ríkulegs stuðnings af hálfu Vesturlanda með pólitískum, efnahagslegum og hernaðarlegum hætti.
Bókalistinn er langt í frá tæmandi en er ágætis byrjun fyrir alla sem vilja kynna sér betur málefnið sem hefur valdið skelfilegum hörmungum fyrir frumbyggja Palestínu með þjóðernishreinsunum, land- og eignaráni, fjöldamorðum, menntamorðum, menningarmorðum og nú síðustu ár þjóðarmorði á Gaza.
